Day is for Young people sixteen years of age and up.

years of age.

be travelling with the group for the entire trip.

Please be assured that all reasonable efforts will be exercised to
ensure the safety and security of your child. The diocese or individual
chaperones are not responsible for situations that are beyond their
control.
Please encourage your child to remain with the group at all times & to
respond appropriately to the chaperones and the leadership of the group.

WORLD YOUTH DAY 2011 INFORMATION
WHAT YOU ARE PERMITTED TO BRING WITH YOU:
• One small knapsack/suitcase/overnight bag in
which you will carry all you need for daily use.
• Personal toiletries, clothing & footwear. It cannot
be stressed enough that clothing must
be comfortable (too tight or WAY too big will be a burden for you during
the trip).
Footwear should not be new; comfortable running shoes would be best.
• Cell phone, if you have one. If possible, a phone card could come in handy.
• Personal money. Please limit the amount or, if
possible, carry a cash card.
• Identification. A photo with your name, address,
etc., on the back would be helpful.
• A personal, inexpensive camera.
• A cap or hat (Remember to remove it during prayer,
meals and Mass).
• Your own water bottle. Remember to drink lots of
water; avoid caffeine and high sugar
sodas and keep away from too much junk food.
• Medications and extra medication prescriptions.
• A journal or diary or something to write in, pen or
pencil.
WHAT YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BRING WITH
YOU:
• Expensive jewellery. (We will not be responsible for
lost articles).
• An excessive amount of personal cash.
• No pocket knives, or anything that looks dangerous.
• T-shirts with inappropriate logos (e.g. beer ads);
T-shirts must cover the midriff; shorts
must not be too short.
SMOKING, USING DRUGS OR ALCOHOL ARE STRICTLY
FORBIDDEN
