STEUBENVILLE ATLANTIC 2012

Steubenville Atlantic is a Catholic High School Youth Conference.  It combines great music and powerful liturgies with time for prayer, fellowship, and entertainment.  This is THE weekend to experience the truth of the Gospel and to be empowered to live as witnesses in our daily lives.

Steubenville Atlantic will take place from August 3 - 5, 2012 at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Last year over 1,100 participants experienced the conference.  Participants must be entering Grade 10 as of the Fall of 2011 or be up to a 2012 High School Graduate.  Adult Group Leaders and Chaperones must be age 21 or over.

In 1987, Father Andrew Cuschieri, a professor at St. Augustine's Seminary, donated ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to our diocese and requested that the accumulated yearly interest would be awarded to a young person between the ages of seven (7) and eighteen (18).

The young person nominated must be between the ages of seven (7) and eighteen (18) and have been a student for at least part of the previous twelve month period in a primary, elementary, or high school within the Diocese of Grand Falls.  The young person(s) must have accomplished a humanitarian act towards another human being(s).

The recipient of this year's award is Brett Kennedy of Whitbourne.
